The company is developing a next-generation liquid biopsy platform that uses Vision AI to rapidly analyze extremely rare circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in blood, providing real-time insights into cancer evolution at the single-cell level.
While conventional liquid biopsy methods largely rely on tumor-derived DNA or cell-surface protein markers, they often face limitations in detection sensitivity and in capturing tumor heterogeneity. Giftshed is advancing an AI-powered imaging approach that directly identifies and analyzes CTCs from small blood samples, with the goal of supporting a wide range of applications, including early cancer detection, treatment response monitoring, and recurrence tracking.
